The developers of Destiny 2 have revealed a preview of the content coming in Act I of Destiny 2: Heresy, set to launch on February 4, 2025.
During the livestream, the narrative team discussed the return of the Dreadnaught, the iconic Hive ship first introduced in the original Destiny, as well as the reappearance of familiar allies and foes and the discovery of a new Echo.
The presentation also featured details on the new Underworld activity, new weapons and gear, brand-new subclass aspects, and the Severed Doctrine dungeon race, scheduled to debut on February 7. The full livestream is available for those who want to learn more about the upcoming episode.
Partnership with Star Wars
During the event, Bungie also announced a collaboration with Lucasfilm Games to bring Star Wars-inspired items to the game. Among the additions are armor ornaments based on the Empire’s troopers and royal guards. These new items will be available when Destiny 2: Heresy launches.
Beyond in-game updates, Bungie has officially kicked off Game2Give 2025, an initiative that brings together the Bungie Foundation community and 200 content creators to raise funds for improving children’s well-being, supporting underrepresented communities, and providing aid to vulnerable populations.
This year’s donation incentives include a new emblem, an exclusive Sparrow, a new emote, and returning vaulted emblems. The campaign will feature special livestreams, challenges, giveaways, and an auction of rare items, culminating in a live broadcast on February 6.
Game2Give is also offering an exclusive pre-order bundle to support communities affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The bundle includes a T-shirt and an emblem, with at least $15 from each purchase donated to the California Fire Foundation and Direct Relief. More details on the initiative and how to contribute are available on the official Game2Give website.
