With the Penacony saga coming to a close, the open-world gacha RPG Honkai Star Rail is set to embark on a new chapter with the release of version 2.4, titled "Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue." Hoyoverse has shared detailed information about the latest updates, including new characters, events, and significant changes that await players.

New Characters and Banners

The highlight of this update is the introduction of Yunli, a five-star character known for her exceptional sword-fighting skills. Yunli is described as "the beloved granddaughter of General Huaiyan from 'Coração Flamejante'" and is part of the Physical-Type group. Her unique "Counterattack" ability deals additional damage whenever she is attacked, while her ultimate ability "Parry" provokes all enemies, reduces incoming damage, and increases critical damage.

The banners for this patch also feature other notable characters, such as Jiaoqiu, a Fire-Type fighter with a passive chance to accumulate fire damage with each attack. March 7th returns as a fighter and trainee under Yunli and Yanqing’s guidance. Additionally, there will be limited five-star banners during the Warps, with Huohuo in the first half of version 2.4 and Sparkle in the second half.

New Story Content and Map

The new story content centers around the Wardance, a celebration of the victory of the Reighbow Arbiter and the Cloud Knight against the Abominations of Abundance. This event aims to uplift players' spirits following recent in-game crises. Moreover, players will be able to explore the new map, The Shackling Prison, a dark location where "the most notorious criminals of the realm" are imprisoned and where Borisin-like wolf creatures dwell in the underwater depths.

Upcoming Collaboration

Hoyoverse has also announced a special collaboration with the animation “Honkai: Star Rail x Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works],” promising exciting new experiences for fans of the gacha universe.
