New World: Aeternum is reintroducing the thrilling "Fury of the Spriggan" event with the latest update, set to roll out tonight. Players will have the opportunity to team up and battle the formidable Spriggans, earn rewards, and enjoy the event repeatedly.
The downtime for this update is scheduled to start tonight at 11:00 PM Pacific Time. Once the new patch is live, the Summer Medleyfaire will conclude, making way for the Dríades' invasion, which kicks off tomorrow. For those new to this event, the land is currently restless and seems somewhat enraged, bringing the Dríades back to Aeternum.
These entities are attempting to seize control of the territory and will begin appearing in several regions, including Brightwood, Brimstone Sands, Ebonscale Reach, Edengrove, and Mourningdale. To combat them, players will need to assemble a group of 20 or more for this open-world event starting tomorrow. During the battles, you can construct Flame Braziers to enhance your weapons and improve your chances of success.
Victorious players will receive rewards such as procedural weapons or armor pieces of Rare quality or better, suitable for their level. Additionally, you will earn a container resource test, a consumables test, and an Obsidian Gypsum. There are also daily bonus rewards that can be claimed up to three times a day until the daily reset at 5:00 AM local time. These bonus rewards include an event-exclusive Mossborne weapon, an event-exclusive Mossborne armor piece, 20 Dark Matter, and chances for additional prizes. Each special cache you open also includes a 2% chance of receiving a Spriggan Flame Brazier housing item, with this percentage increasing with each opening during the event.
The update also includes crucial fixes, such as adjustments to the Vital Staff and Bow, which had bugs related to skill cancellation, as well as a fix for an additional exploitable dodge bug.
