RuneScape is expanding once again, this time with a new mini-series of comics by Titan Comics. Titled "RuneScape: Untold Tales of the God Wars," the series will debut in October.

The mini-series will explore one of Gielinor's most memorable sagas: the God Wars dungeon quest series. According to the official announcement, the plot delves into the Temple of the Lost Ancients, set during the catastrophic and iconic God Wars, where four warring armies vie for control of the Divine Sword, the only weapon capable of killing a deity. "RuneScape: Untold Tales of the God Wars" focuses on Maro, a sentient floating skull, caught in the middle of the conflict and dreaming of breaking free from his master's grasp.

The mini-series also reveals the cover art and highlights some of the writers and artists involved. The first issue is written by Ryan O' Sullivan, with art by Sid Kotian and Daniel Bayliss. Additionally, the debut issue will feature variant covers by artists such as Dave Barker, RuneScape's lead concept artist, along with Alan Quah, Ivan Shavrin, Sid Kotian, and Alex Moore.

The first issue will be released on October 9, with pre-orders opening next month. Those who purchase a physical edition of the comic will receive a redeemable code for 200 Runecoins.

Titan Comics is part of the same company as Titan Books, with which Jagex announced an agreement last fall for three new RuneScape novels. The first of these novels, "RuneScape: The Gift of Guthix," was released earlier this year.
