Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have recently released a new trailer for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, highlighting the extensive range of weapons players can wield against the Tyranid threat.
The trailer reveals an impressive selection of armaments, including the iconic heavy bolter, the powerful Astartes chainsword, the devastating plasma incinerator, and the efficient automatic bolt rifle. Additionally, various bolter variants are showcased, offering diverse combat options for different ranges. At one point in the trailer, the player is seen wielding a heavy weapon known as the melta rifle, further expanding the arsenal of destruction available.
Another highlight is the Space Marine's jump pack, which can be used offensively, causing area damage upon landing and crushing Tyranids in the process. This mechanic adds a tactical layer to combat, allowing for devastating aerial attacks.
Space Marine 2 also introduces brutal executions, where players can use parts of defeated enemies' bodies as weapons, adding a visceral and ruthless dimension to the battles.
While the trailer focuses on some of the most iconic weapons, the game will also feature other fan-favorites such as power swords and thunder hammers, promising a diverse and intense combat experience.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is set to release on September 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Those who opt to purchase the Gold or Ultra editions will have the advantage of accessing the game four days early, starting September 5.
