The developers of Reign of Guilds, a medieval-themed MMORPG, recently participated in a Q&A session to address various issues raised by the community. The Atlant Games team has been working diligently to improve the player experience by focusing on bug fixes and preparing new content. Despite the challenges, the team assures that fixes are on the way.
During the session, one of the main topics discussed was the persistent bugs that have been troubling players since the game’s Early Access launch in April 2024. Issues such as an anti-invisibility spell not functioning correctly, abilities disappearing from the hotbar, and a bug related to infinite stamina reappearing were highlighted. The team acknowledged these problems and assured that they are working on solutions, though no specific timeline for the fixes was provided.
Another point of discussion was the balancing of Vocations, which are the different specializations within the game. Instead of focusing on specific classes, the team aims to balance Vocations as a whole, using backend data analysis and testing to make adjustments. However, no specific balance changes were announced for the near future.
One of the most talked-about subjects was the potential merger of the European (EU) and North American (NA) servers, an idea that was considered due to the low server populations. However, the developers decided not to proceed with the merger to avoid latency issues that could negatively impact players' experience. Additionally, they mentioned improving the third-person camera, a feature that was added after the game was initially designed to be played in first-person only.
The developers also clarified their decision to withdraw Reign of Guilds from the Steam platform, emphasizing that this change only applies to the Russian region, where the game will be moved to VKPlay. In other regions, the game will remain available on Steam, where it currently holds a 66% positive rating and averages around 50 concurrent players per day, a number that has decreased from the Early Access launch peak of nearly 600 players.
The Atlant Games team remains focused on developing and fixing Reign of Guilds, with the full release planned for the third quarter of 2025. In the meantime, many players are hoping that the existing issues will be resolved before the launch date.
