Genshin Impact has just rolled out its major annual update, version 5.0, bringing a host of exciting new features for players. This update, titled "Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn," significantly expands the world of Teyvat with the introduction of the new region Natlan, along with new characters, areas, and quests.

The new region of Natlan is a substantial addition to the game’s universe, making the world of Teyvat larger than ever. To access this area, players need to reach Adventure Rank 28 and complete the main story quests of Liyue. However, those who have finished the Mondstadt Archon quests can still venture into Natlan if they wish.

One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of Saurians, a new species found in Natlan. Players will have the opportunity to interact with three distinct Saurian tribes: Koholasaurus, Tepetlisaurus, and Yumkasaurus. This innovation was showcased at Gamescom ONL 2024, giving fans a preview of what to expect before the official release of the update.

In addition to the new region, Update 5.0 introduces new characters that promise to enhance the gaming experience. Among the new additions are Mualani, a five-star Hydro Catalyst wielder, and Kinich, a Dendro warrior with a claymore. Also introduced is Kachina, a four-star Geo character armed with a polearm.

The update features the new location Domain of Forgery: Watchtower, along with several quality-of-life improvements. Players who have not yet explored Natlan will also be able to enjoy the content added in Update 4.8, which further expanded the game.
