The latest entry in Lost Ark's "Eye on Arkesia" video series revealed significant updates regarding the game's development schedule, including the confirmed release date for the much-anticipated Aegir Raid.
As the release of Tier 4 approaches, the development team has finally set the launch date for this update, which was postponed by two weeks and is now scheduled for October 9. Additionally, the Aegir Raid, the next major challenge involving Kazeros, has been confirmed for October 23. Initially, the team considered launching this raid on October 16, but after receiving community feedback, they decided to push the release to allow players more time to adequately prepare.
In the video, community manager Roxx explained that the team initially planned a tight schedule to accelerate the farming of old gear. However, the community voiced concerns that just one week after the Tier 4 update wouldn't provide enough time to adjust to the new system and gear up for upcoming challenges. In response, the team adjusted the timeline to ensure a smoother transition for players. To support Tier 4 preparation and progression, a series of events and opportunities will be available.
One of the key highlights is the introduction of the "Ignite" fast progression servers, which are debuting in the Western version of Lost Ark alongside the Tier 4 update. These servers are designed to help players quickly reach the endgame, allowing them to transfer their character to an active server once they're ready.
Earlier this summer, representatives from Amazon Games traveled to Korea to meet with the Smilegate RPG team to discuss player feedback. Recognizing that Western players have different experiences and expectations, the teams explored ways to adapt the game's content to better suit this audience. Among the topics discussed were character growth rates and the pace of content releases. As a result of these discussions, one of the changes implemented was adjusting the minimum level for the Behemoth to 1620. With the release of Tier 4, Behemoth's rewards will be updated to reflect the new reward pool, but the 1620 item level requirement will remain in place.
Both teams continue to evaluate potential future changes, focusing on various areas to make ongoing adjustments.
