Recently, Pearl Abyss unveiled a new 50-minute gameplay video for their upcoming open-world action-adventure title, Crimson Desert. The video showcases stunning landscapes, combat mechanics, and offers a glimpse into the narrative centered around the protagonist, Kliff.

Kliff, the leader of the Greymanes, is introduced amidst a bloody conflict with the Black Bears, who seek to destroy the peace the Greymanes strive for. The initial narrative (minor spoiler) separates Kliff from his group, highlighting the game’s brutal combat.

Combat is a key feature in Crimson Desert. Pearl Abyss has focused on providing various ways to approach battles, allowing players to combine skills, weapons, and combos. Combos play a crucial role, whether in duels, boss fights, or against hordes of enemies, offering strategic options for players.

The video is not in a linear sequence but shows Kliff learning new skills, receiving missions, meeting new characters, and facing bosses. Each boss is encountered in a different biome, showcasing the variety of terrains in the game’s open world.

Watch Kliff explore on horseback, on foot, and even gliding through the air. Pearl Abyss emphasizes their realistic and varied environments, which are a spectacle in themselves.

Crimson Desert is still in development, but recent reveals suggest that progress is on track.
