According to information NCSOFT provided to MeinMMO, early access was scheduled to open at 3 p.m. CEST on September 30, equivalent to 6 a.m. PDT, 9 a.m. EDT and 1 p.m. UTC. MeinMMO’s launch overview did not confirm an exact opening time for the October 5 release.
The global release brings the latest MMORPG in the Aion franchise to Western audiences. Aion 2 has been available in South Korea and Taiwan since November 19, 2025.
When Does Aion 2 Early Access Start?
Aion 2 early access begins on September 30, five days before the global launch. Access requires the purchase of a Founder’s Pack.
The head start lets eligible players enter ahead of the October 5 release. The scheduled opening time provided to MeinMMO was:
- North America, Pacific: 6 a.m. PDT.
- North America, Eastern: 9 a.m. EDT.
- United Kingdom: 2 p.m. BST.
- Central Europe: 3 p.m. CEST.
- UTC: 1 p.m.
Is Aion 2 Coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox?
Aion 2’s global launch is initially PC-only, with distribution through Steam and NCSOFT’s own launcher.
Console and mobile availability follow a separate schedule.
Will Aion 2 Launch on PS5 or Xbox?
Neither PS5 nor Xbox has a confirmed release date for Aion 2. Console development has been discussed, but those versions are not part of the October PC launch.
MeinMMO reports that developers discussed a console port in a Japanese interview, specifically in response to a question about PS5. That discussion does not establish a confirmed Xbox version or release window.
Will Aion 2 Be Available on Mobile in the West?
There is currently no announced Western mobile release. A mobile edition is available in the game’s original Asian markets, while the Western rollout focuses on PC.
Has the Aion 2 Beta Ended?
Yes. Aion 2’s pre-launch stress test has ended. The test took place in September 2026, with registration available through Steam and pre-downloads beginning on September 16.
The test gave players a chance to try the game before release while NCSOFT assessed server capacity.
Does Beta Progress Carry Over to Launch?
No. Progress from the beta will not carry over to early access or the full release. Participants must start new characters when they enter the launch servers.
