The highly anticipated update for Albion Online, titled Paths to Glory, is scheduled for release on July 22nd. This update will bring a multitude of new features, including the Albion Journal, a new achievement system, improvements to the Roads of Avalon, expansion of the Tracking system, addition of new Crystal Weapons, and much more.

With this update, the Albion Journal will become an essential tool for players, offering various rewards, progress tracking, and goal setting. The journal will include missions applicable to different stages of the game, divided into five main categories: Economy, Exploration, Gathering, PvE, and PvP. Each category will have a variety of missions to complete, each with its respective rewards, such as silver and Tomes of Insight, along with cosmetic rewards.

Essentially, the Albion Journal functions as a battle pass system for Albion Online. As players progress, completing individual missions, they will receive specific rewards, and by completing entire categories, they will earn exclusive cosmetic rewards.

The Paths to Glory update will also allow guilds to own multiple islands, one in each Royal City and Caerleon, with each island reflecting the biome of its host city. Significant combat changes are anticipated, including the introduction of new Crystal Weapons. All weapon abilities will be available from Tier 4 onwards for each weapon, and players will be able to overcharge weapons twice, with a higher risk of breakage but additional benefits.

The Roads of Avalon will also undergo adjustments to make them more competitive while continuing to support smaller groups. The Roads will now be open for Tracking within the zone, and a new Rare Quarry, named Shadowmask, will be added for players to track. Additionally, the Roads of Avalon and the open world of Albion Online will have new dynamic spawn rates. This means that the number of mobs, resources, and treasures will vary throughout the day based on server activity levels. On busier days, an increase in resources and mob spawns is expected.
