Amazon Games, in partnership with NCSoft, is preparing for the early access launch of Throne and Liberty, scheduled for September 26. The development team released a letter detailing the improvements and new features based on feedback from the Open Beta, aiming to enhance the player experience.

One of the key adjustments is a streamlined leveling process, now designed to be more dynamic and less tedious. Clearer explanations and tooltips have also been added to make understanding new systems easier, improving overall player engagement. Moreover, new types of quests have been introduced, moving beyond the traditional monster-slaying tasks. Players can expect a more rewarding gear progression and better-structured rewards.

Skill customization has been expanded. Players now have access to up to 24 active skills per weapon combination, along with passive bonuses from armor sets and additional combat improvements. These enhancements extend to camera settings and permanent crowd control breakers, enhancing the overall feel of gameplay.

PvP balance has been a major focus in this update. Power scaling is implemented in lower-level zones, Guild Alliance restrictions have been added, and fairness adjustments have been applied to Dynamic Events. Even 1v1 Conquest battles are introduced to ensure more balanced encounters. Regarding trading, certain crafting materials are now non-tradable to create a fairer environment, and drop rates have been increased in specific areas to give solo players more opportunities.

New content will be available at launch, including the 3v3 PvP Arena and cooperative dungeons like The Gate of Infinity and Amitoi Expeditions, where players’ Amitoi pets will play a key role in gathering useful items. Additional PvE content includes cooperative dynamic events, cooking and fishing systems, and a series of weekly quests.

The premium currency Lucent has also been revisited, especially concerning its role in the auction house. Access to the auction house will now be restricted to players at level 40 or higher, balancing in-game rewards. Further quality-of-life improvements include cross-server matchmaking, auction houses unified across all servers for economic stability, and the removal of XP penalties or debuffs upon death.
