ARC Raiders has received a new update that introduces progression systems, gameplay adjustments, and online security tools. The patch is now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Developer Embark Studios implemented the merchant Ermal, introduced the secondary weapon Rascal, and began testing the Denuvo Anti-Cheat system with part of the community.
ARC Raiders Adds Merchant and New Weapon
Ermal is part of the Nomadic Envoys faction and offers items through a weekly rotating inventory. The selection includes blueprints, cosmetics, Raider Tokens, and progression equipment.
Players above level 25 can also exchange rare materials for temporary inventory expansions and access to the Expedition Vault. The feature allows users to store up to five items after expeditions.
The update also introduced the Rascal, a secondary weapon designed for combat against ARC units. The equipment works as a portable grenade launcher.
According to the official description, the weapon has a slow reload speed and inconsistent accuracy. Even so, it delivers high damage without taking up the slot of larger weapons.
The Extended Barrel modifier also received performance improvements, increased projectile speed, and new variants.
ARC Raiders Adjusts Combat and Online Security
The patch adjusted the sound and visual perception of ARC enemies, while also modifying binaural audio, collisions, and fire effects. Players are now immune to stun effects when entering a Raider Hatch.
Embark Studios confirmed that Denuvo Anti-Cheat will be released gradually. The system will initially be available to a limited group of users.
The company stated that it is monitoring the results before expanding the feature globally. The studio also clarified that Denuvo DRM will not be used in ARC Raiders.
