PUBG Mobile received a significant update with the arrival of Version 3.8, featuring a special collaboration with Attack on Titan.
The content adds elements from the popular anime series to the battle royale, including Titan transformations, aerial combat with the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (ODM), new locations on the maps, and a variety of themed items and cosmetics.
Below is a full breakdown of the main additions.
Steampunk Border Mode
Available on the Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps, the new mode introduces original areas such as Eterholm Station, train platforms, cargo hubs, and Utgard Castle, a central location from the Attack on Titan storyline. The map also includes active railway routes that change gameplay dynamics.
Two new trains are featured in this mode:
- Epic Cargo Train: carries two Ether Core Containers and makes a stop at Eterholm.
- Express Train: crosses the entire map at high speed, encouraging ambushes and mobile strategies.

Players can also interact with NPCs, such as the Mechanical Worker and the Mechanical Merchant, who offer buffs, healing items, and essential supplies.
For more relaxed in-game activities, players can ride a roller coaster or attend the seasonal Summer Start Fest, where it's possible to take photos and enjoy kebabs. This event will be available starting July 2.
Titan Transformation and New Items
A major highlight of the collaboration is the ability to transform into a Titan during matches. By using the Titan Serum, players become Pure Titans, gaining enhanced strength and reach. The transformation has a time limit but can be ended manually at any time.
Also introduced was the Attack Titan Serum, a rare item that appears only once per match. It turns the player into the Attack Titan, one of the most iconic forms from the anime. As a Titan, players gain access to powerful area jump attacks and physical strikes.
These serums can be found in the Cargo Hub, on the Epic Cargo Train, or through the Lucky Spin.
Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (ODM)
To further embrace the Attack on Titan theme, the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear has been added as a usable item. This gear enables fast traversal across the map and unlocks aerial combat mechanics, thanks to hooks that attach to the environment.
In addition to increased mobility, the ODM grants access to dual blades, enhancing melee combat and allowing new strategies, particularly in vertical fights or close-quarters areas.
This item can be found in loot crates, on the ground, or purchased from in-game stores.
Themed Cosmetics and Skins
The collaboration also introduced a variety of skins and cosmetic items inspired by characters and Titans from Attack on Titan. Highlights include:
- Character skins for Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Levi Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and their Titan forms;
- Themed Colossal Titan skin;
- Weapons and gear with anime-based designs;
- Exclusive rewards available for a limited time.
Gameplay Tips From Flashzito
Content creator Flashzito, a member of PUBG Mobile’s official Creator Program, shared some tips for getting the most out of the update:
“In case you didn’t know, Titans can hit enemies through windows. Another great tip: if you jump and time it right, you can revert to human mid-air and catch your enemies off guard while they still think you’re in Titan form.”
“One useful tip to speed up your gameplay in Version 3.8 is to use the dual blades and, once you’re in the air, use the glider. This lets you switch weapons faster and move through the air more quickly to surprise your enemies.”
The Version 3.8 update of PUBG Mobile reinforces the game’s appeal through major collaborations, following earlier events with Dragon Ball, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and now Attack on Titan.
The collaboration content is available for a limited time, and exclusive themed items will only be accessible during the event period.
