Pearl Abyss announced today updates on the development of native versions of Black Desert Console for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series.
These new versions will take advantage of the advanced hardware of these platforms, offering a high-level gaming experience. Even better, this upgrade will be available for free to all Black Desert Console owners.
In a recent Developer Commentary video, Matt, General Director of Black Desert Console, shared updates on the project and future plans for the game:
- The PlayStation 5 version has completed internal development and is nearing platform certification.
- Development of the Xbox Series version is underway.
- Both editions are expected to launch in the first half of 2025.
- Larger-scale updates, such as the Land of the Morning expansion, will follow the release of the new native versions.
Matt expressed gratitude for the players' patience, promising significant improvements in the game's visuals and performance aligned with the latest generation of consoles. Players can expect more news soon, ensuring a smooth process.
Additionally, on December 12, Pearl Abyss will release updates introducing various activities for players:
- Kharazad Accessories: A new set of upgradeable items crafted using current Deboreka accessories and a new material, Essence of Dawn, obtained from monster zones in the Land of the Morning.
- Accessory Exchange System: A newly introduced system allowing players to exchange pieces from the Deboreka accessory set. For example, a Deboreka Necklace can be exchanged for a Deboreka Ring.
- Daily Rewards and Special Events: Beneficial items like Mythical Censer and significant buffs for PvE, PvP, and life skills will run until March 2025.
- Life Skill EXP (excluding Trading): 50%
- Mount EXP: 50%
- Training EXP: 50%
- Farming EXP: 100%
- Flower of Oblivion Event x2
- Imperial Training Delivery Invoice Event
- Combat EXP: 500%
- Skill EXP: 200%
- Item Drop Rate Increase: 50%
- Double Rewards: Black Shrine, Dark Rifts, Atoraxxion, Red Battlefield
- Item Copy Event with One Marni Fuel
