The next title in the Call of Duty franchise was officially revealed this Sunday (8) during the Xbox Games Showcase. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set in the year 2035 and promises the most intense experience yet in the Black Ops subseries.
The story unfolds more than 40 years after the events of Black Ops 6 and brings back the character David Mason, who leads a team on a mission against an enemy that uses fear as its primary weapon. The narrative takes place in a world on the brink of collapse, marked by geopolitical conflict and technological threats.
Among the highlights, Black Ops 7 will feature a cooperative campaign that can be played solo or with friends. The multiplayer mode will include brand-new maps, futuristic weapons, and a fresh take on the Zombies mode, with a storyline set in the twisted Dark Aether universe.
This will be the first back-to-back release in the Black Ops series, following a strategy of continuity between titles and building on the community engagement seen with previous entries like Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone.
