Activision has confirmed a collaboration between Call of Duty: Mobile and the series The Boys for Season 5 of 2026. The content update will introduce Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir as playable operators in the mobile FPS.
The release is scheduled for May 27, 2026. The crossover will arrive alongside the Season 5: Revenge update. Materials shared on the game’s official social media channels indicate that the characters will also receive weapon blueprints, calling cards, and themed cosmetics.
The company has not yet published the full list of event items.
The Boys returns to the Call of Duty franchise
The partnership expands the history of collaborations between the Call of Duty franchise and entertainment productions. In 2023, Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 received content inspired by The Boys during the Season 4 Reloaded update. Later, additional characters from the series were added to Modern Warfare 3.
The collaboration announcement came just days after the latest season finale of the series, which aired on May 20. The close timing between the two releases increases the visibility of the event within the game’s community.
Promotional materials published by Activision show the three members of The Seven wearing outfits inspired by the original series. So far, the company has not confirmed whether the operators will feature exclusive voice lines or custom animations.
How to get the skins in COD Mobile
Activision has not yet detailed the official unlock system for the skins. Previous events suggest that the operators will likely arrive through the in-game store or the Lucky Draw system.
Recent Call of Duty: Mobile collaborations, including events with Street Fighter 6 and Godzilla x Kong, used the same monetization model. In those events, players had to spend COD Points (CP) to access limited-time draws and rewards.
Premium bundles from similar events usually range between 5,000 and 12,000 CP, depending on the region and the number of attempts required in the Lucky Draw. Activision has not announced official prices for the The Boys crossover yet. There is also the possibility of free rewards through seasonal challenges or limited-time events.
The company has not confirmed this distribution method so far. In addition, players looking for more stable online matches can use NoPing Game Booster, a lightweight platform that reduces high ping and improves connection quality in competitive games. New users can test the tool for free.
