Blizzard is finally introducing a new class in Diablo 4, and as this is the first of its kind, the developers didn't want just another MMO class that allows companions to take the lead.

Hunters in World of Warcraft mainly focus on taming beasts and using them in battle to keep the enemy's attention away from the hunter. According to GamesRadar, Blizzard didn't want to simply introduce another Hunter class that would let the companion take advantage of everything combat has to offer.

The Spiritborn class is said to be a top predator of the jungle, summoning different animals to aid them in battle. This, of course, is somewhat reminiscent of a hunter who tames beasts to do their bidding, but this new class comes with a twist. Instead of just blasting enemies with arrows from afar, the Spiritborn will be up close and personal in the action, attacking, blocking, and dodging as they are "masters of melee combat."

Blizzard wanted to introduce another class that could utilize the help of beasts and creatures without the exclusive focus being on said companions, as they wanted the focus to be more on the character switching between their spiritual and human sides. Game designer Bjorn Mikkelson states:

“One of the initial nuggets driving much of the ideation was that we didn't want it to be, for lack of a better term, like a pet class. We always wanted it to be very intertwined, kind of coming from the core of the class itself, right?”

This was quite challenging, as Blizzard went through over 60 different prototype abilities to find the best ones to make the Spiritborn feel and play the way they envisioned. The new class will be available when Vessel of Hatred goes live on October 8, so we'll have to wait until then to sink our teeth into everything the Spiritborn has to offer.

For players looking to get the most out of the new Spiritborn class in Diablo 4, it's crucial to have a stable, low-latency connection. Issues like high ping, packet loss, and jitter can hinder the gaming experience, causing lag and disconnects. NoPing offers effective solutions for these problems, improving connection stability and increasing FPS. With NoPing, you can enjoy smoother, more responsive gameplay, ensuring that every melee combat with the Spiritborn is executed with precision and without interruptions.
