The collaboration between Diablo Immortal and the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft is set to bring a host of exciting new features for players. This week’s update introduces new legendary items, significant enhancements, and the Winds of Fortune event, along with returning events to the gameplay.
The new collaboration is scheduled for November, promising “familiar faces and notable items” from the world of Azeroth to make their way into Sanctuary. Players will have the chance to participate in both PvE and PvP events, earning cosmetics by supporting the Alliance and Horde factions. This update, which will be globally available on Wednesday, includes new legendary items for all classes. Additionally, it brings improvements across various features and a one-hour adjustment to server times in some regions.
A key highlight is the new mechanics for Terror Rifts, which will be available for 24 hours, with only one map accessible at a time. Each player will have an individual countdown timer. To team up, groups must be on the same difficulty level and map, which aims to enhance the experience of collecting Terror Essence.
The Stygian Spires will also undergo essence adjustments. Instead of all costing 200 essences, the cost will now vary, ranging from 100 to 300. When upgrading the Spires, players will see their locations directly. Importantly, monsters will not spawn when opening the Spires, allowing players to face the boss immediately each time. These changes are intended to make the experience more enjoyable and easier to complete.
Another significant improvement is aimed at Familiars, which will receive a more intuitive Melding process. The selected species for attributes will be highlighted, making it easier to identify what is being preserved and minimizing the risk of losing the desired Familiar during the process. Additionally, a series of updates to the Familiar interface have been implemented.
Regarding events, the Winds of Fortune will take place from November 6 to 13, offering a 24-hour bonus that players can activate at any time during the event for extra rewards. During this period, players will receive double the gold, experience, battle pass points, gems, and legendary items. Moreover, items from selected events will also have a double drop rate.
