Major updates for Diablo IV Season 8 have been revealed, with the new chapter set to begin on April 29.
The season features the return of Belial, the Lord of Lies, and introduces the franchise’s first external collaboration, with the legendary manga BERSERK, launching May 6.
The Return of Belial
Belial, the Lord of Lies, takes center stage as the main antagonist of Season 8. Players will face him in a reimagined version as an exalted lair boss and uncover a new questline centered around revealing the truth behind his deceit.
Key new content includes:
- “Apparition Incursion” Events: Open-world multiplayer boss rush-style events where waves of enemies grant increased rewards;
- Boss Powers System: 24 unique powers with 48 main-modifier combinations, unlocked throughApparitions events and enhanced using Smoldering Ash;
- New Reliquary System: A major overhaul of the Battle Pass, offering customizable reward paths and more player agency in progression.
BERSERK Collaboration
Beginning May 6, Season 8 introduces the first external crossover in Diablo IV’s history, merging the game’s universe with BERSERK, the iconic dark fantasy manga by Kentaro Miura.
The crossover will run through the end of the season, featuring exclusive content for both Diablo IV and Diablo Immortal.
In Diablo IV:
- Berserk Reliquary: Defeat elite enemies and exchange behelits for themed cosmetics;
- Exclusive Visuals: Equip gear inspired by key characters, such as the Berserker Armor (Barbarian), Skull Knight (Necromancer), and The Hawk of Light (Rogue);
- Time-Limited Store Packs: Mounts, pets, and trophies available for a limited time;
- Twitch Drops: Support streamers to unlock the Skull Behelit mount trophy.
In Diablo Immortal:
- Nosferatu Zodd Boss Fight: Battle the immortal beast in a new encounter, with a more terrifying version unlocked via the Crimson Behelit gem;
- “Survivor’s Bane” Event: Enter the Eclipse, fight waves of monsters, and relive the sacrifice that shook the Band of the Hawk;
- BERSERK-Themed Loot: Earn Crimson Behelit, Broken Band’s Armaments, themed weapon skins, and Golem companions;
- Login Rewards: Free cosmetics, crests, and class-exclusive weapons for simply logging in during the event.
