To celebrate 10 years of Black Desert, Pearl Abyss hosted the Calpheon Banquet, a global community event held last weekend at Suwon Messe, South Korea.
The special broadcast showcased upcoming updates and expansions, including the highly anticipated 29th class, Deadeye, set to launch on December 24. The full livestream is available on YouTube.
Deadeye: The Gunslinger Joins Black Desert
Deadeye is the 29th class in the game, bringing a theme inspired by the American Wild West. Armed with revolvers, a shotgun, and the rocket launcher Lil’Devil, Deadeye delivers fast-paced combat alongside a captivating story.
Hailing from Nova Victoria, a parallel Earth, she entered the Black Desert universe through Marni’s experiments. The character expands the game’s narrative while introducing dynamic gameplay. Early access begins on December 20 via Global Lab, with the official release on December 24.
Enhanced Support For New Players
Pearl Abyss revealed significant changes to the Seasonal Server, designed for beginner players:
- Accelerated progression: Enjoy a 1000% boost in combat EXP to level up quickly in the seasonal servers.
- Completion rewards: Earn materials to craft the Ornette and Odore Spirit Essences, as well as PEN Boss Gear.
- Simplified equipment upgrades: Obtain items like the Essence of Ascension for weapons and accessories by completing the season, making it easier to transition into the endgame.
These improvements will launch alongside Deadeye, with new quests and support to help beginners become seasoned adventurers.
New Dream Horse And Training System Improvements
Voltarion, a new electric-themed Dream Horse, will be introduced on January 16, 2025. Horse breeding and training will be optimized, featuring faster growth and the ability to register wild horses to free wagons, simplifying mount development.
PvP updates
Changes to Black Desert PvP include:
- Node and Conquest Wars: Adjustments to balance status effects and siege mechanics for more competitive battles.
- Hardcore Server: A high-risk PvP server offering 2-hour daily sessions where players compete for points using exclusive gear.
- Black Dragon Mount: The coveted “Harbinger of Doom” will be awarded to standout PvP guilds.
Winter games and festivities
In January, players can enjoy the Tumbling Snowflake Field event in the Mountain of Eternal Winter. Snowboarding returns with exclusive gear and Griffon lifts inspired by the “Noonbora” event outfit.

Black Desert Mobile also brought exciting news, including:
- A new chapter: Awakened Dawnveil Gear
Awakened versions of the Dawnveil Gear, arriving at year’s end, will boost combat power and reward high-level players. - Atoraxxion: Vahmalkea
The first zone of the Atoraxxion co-op content will debut, featuring challenges against Ancient Guardians. Players can join five times weekly to earn rewards like Okiara’s Blessing. - Nightmare: Tshira – Revamped PvPvE
The Nightmare turns Tshira Ruins into a 24-hour battle zone. With different difficulty levels and mechanics like progressive debuffs, this content ensures balanced challenges for all players. - Dream Horse Aduanatt
The new Dream Horse Aduanatt, with the “Quantum Jump” ability, will enable instant travel across the map. - New consumables and crafting materials
Concentrated HP Potions, restoring up to 1,500 HP, can now be crafted using new materials from Kamasylvia, enhancing survivability in battles.
