Genshin Impact and The Discovery Channel are unveiling a special event titled "Teyvat Nature Discovery Tour" and an eight-minute documentary aimed at raising awareness about the environment and its perils to the natural world.
The "Discover Trails, Explore Nature" event kicks off on March 16, offering participants the chance to earn Primogems and a new furnishing item, the Serenitea Pot "Let the Desert Bloom." To acquire this item, players will need to complete online challenges with Kaveh, the tour's spokesperson. Five characters representing Teyvat's five habitats—Albedo, Beidou, Candace, Kokomi, and Tighnari—will lead the way.
As part of the partnership, there's also an eight-minute documentary featuring narrators representing five Earth environments. It takes us through these landscapes to explore and appreciate their role on Earth, while also drawing attention to some of the damages and threats to their natural beauty and survival.
Narrating for the ocean is actor Kit Harington, best known for his role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. The Coral Reef segment features the voice of author and environmental activist Lily Cole. The Snowy Mountains will be narrated by athlete Max Djenohan, who has participated in various Discovery Channel programs. The Forest segment will be voiced by author and presenter Kate Humble, known for her work on nature. Lastly, the voice of the Desert segment will be by explorer Ed Stafford, known for his adventurous work on Discovery programs.
Genshin 4 Good will also raise funds by selling Genshin Impact merchandise at locations in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Korea. All proceeds from the limited-time sale will go to the environmental organization Good Earth.
This collaborative effort appears to be another way for the Genshin community to learn, engage, and even snag some goodies to enjoy in-game.
