Dune: Awakening is set to launch on June 10. Ahead of the release, players will have the opportunity to participate in a large-scale global beta from May 9 to 12.
During the event, players will explore the vast deserts of Arrakis and experience the beginning of the game’s story, which serves as a core element of this open-world survival experience.
The story in Dune: Awakening is deeply connected to the universe created by Frank Herbert, offering players a journey filled with mystical signs and ancient conspiracies buried in the sand. A new story trailer is now available, giving a glimpse of what lies ahead.
Global Beta – May 9 to 12
The global beta will allow participants to play the first 20 hours of the game, covering most of Act 1. Unlike previous betas, this one has no publishing restrictions, meaning players can freely share content and stream gameplay.
Access to the beta can be requested via the Dune: Awakening Steam page, or by tuning in to the Dune: Awakening Global LAN Party livestream on May 10, where thousands of beta keys will be distributed.
Global LAN Party Livestream – May 10
The Dune: Awakening Global LAN Party will be livestreamed from both London and PAX East in Boston, USA. The event will feature the game’s developers and international content creators, who will participate in a live in-game competition. Thousands of beta keys will be given away to viewers during the stream.
Attendees at PAX East will also have the chance to visit the game’s booth to meet the team and try the game firsthand.
The Story Begins
“Find the Fremen. Wake the Sleeper.” These are the words given by the Reverend Mother, with a deadly Gom Jabbar at the player’s neck. What follows is an odyssey across Arrakis, told through a rich cast of characters and cinematic sequences. Dune: Awakening brings a narrative-driven approach to the multiplayer survival genre.
Players will follow the Fremen’s trail, learn to survive the desert, and uncover a past long buried beneath the sands of Arrakis. “Everyone carries their past with them. Who are you?”
