NC America has announced Project Wolf, a new expansion for Lineage II, set to launch on Tuesday, April 15, as a free update for PC players.
The expansion introduces the Varkas class, a warrior capable of transforming into a werewolf, alongside new epic raids, boss battles, and enhancements focused on PvP combat.
Key Features
- New Playable Class: Varkas
The Varkas class allows players to take on the form of a powerful werewolf with unique combat abilities:- Transformation: Players start as Varkas, a human class, and develop their skills to transform into werewolves. The class can wield "Wolf Skills," claw-based weapons, light armor sets, and enhanced defenses through a sigil.
- Werewolf Powers: Unique abilities increase character strength. The Lunatic ability boosts physical attacks, enhances critical damage, and increases attack speed. Enemies hit receive the Claw Stigma mark, making them more vulnerable to attacks.
- Night Hunter: At night, the class automatically receives the exclusive Night Hunter buff, granting temporary bonuses until sunrise.
- New PvE and PvP Challenges
The update introduces boss battles, hunting zones, and new multiplayer activities:- Fafurion’s Underwater Canyon Battle: A raid against the Water Dragon, Fafurion, requiring 50 players to work together to defeat the boss and claim high-value rewards.
- Daily Sanctum of Spirits Boss Fights: Five-player cooperative battles against one of four different bosses, available daily.
- Crumahum Outpost Hunting Zone: A daily hunting ground where groups of up to five players earn extra experience and rewards by defeating monsters.
- Dark Legion Annihilation: A PvE event held on Sundays where players must defeat waves of enemies before facing the final boss near Giran Castle.
Pre-Registration Rewards
Players who pre-register will receive exclusive cosmetics and consumables. Upon server launch, all participants will gain access to a free pack containing spellbooks, hero-grade dolls, accessories, and a Wolf Necklace.
