Amazon Games, the developer of New World: Aeternum, has revealed exciting details about its latest endgame content: the Hive of Gorgons raid. This will be the first 10-player group raid in the game, set to launch on October 15, alongside the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.
The Hive of Gorgons will be divided into three distinct chapters, each offering unique challenges. These chapters will include intense battles against powerful enemies, complex puzzles that require teamwork, and immersive action sequences. Each chapter will culminate in an epic boss battle. Additionally, the maximum gear score has been raised to 725, allowing players to acquire new, powerful items. Exclusive perks for weapons, armor, and accessories have also been introduced within the raid, each tied to a specific skill tree.

Among the raid bosses, Echidna stands out, offering a level of verticality never before seen in the game, pushing players to adopt creative and adaptive strategies.
Outside of the raid content, game director Scot Lane discussed how New World: Aeternum has evolved since its launch, transforming into something very different. The release of Hive of Gorgons marks yet another significant shift, particularly in player progression, with changes aimed at preventing massive power disparities between players, ensuring a more balanced experience.
