PUBG Mobile have announced the release of Update 3.8, available until July 6. The update introduces a new themed mode, gameplay improvements, and a special collab with the Attack on Titan franchise.

The update includes the new “Steampunk Frontier” mode, available on the Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps.

This mode adds new gameplay areas such as Aetherholm Station, busy cargo centers, train platforms, and Utgard Castle, all connected by operational railway routes. Trains offer strategic movement and interactive opportunities throughout the match.

Attack on Titan Collab Introduces New Mechanics

As part of the Attack on Titan crossover, players can use themed items, including Titan Serum, which allows transformation into Pure Titans. Also available is the rare Attack Titan Serum — limited to one per match — granting players a powerful advantage.

The mode also features the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (ODM), enabling aerial movement and fast-paced combat. Players can witness a special event featuring the Colossal Titan appearing in the northeast of Erangel starting May 30.

Beyond the themed content, the update expands the World of Wonder mode with new rails and train cars, weapons like the Welding Gun and M3E1-A Missile Launcher, and interactive elements such as the T-Rex rideable creature. New enemies like the Velociraptor are introduced, along with skill customization tools and improved search features within the mode.

Classic Modes, Tactical Improvements, and New Season

The Metro Royale mode receives new features, including a portable military server for hacking valuable data, new train-wreck zones, and balanced equipment restrictions. In the Team Deathmatch – Warehouse mode, players can now view both teams’ loadouts before matches begin.

The Classic Mode also sees additions such as the UAZ Pillar — a high-durability vehicle — the ability to fire one-handed weapons while driving motorcycles or bicycles, spare tires for damaged wheels, and portable medical kits for quick teammate support.

The Home Mode is updated with the Bronzework Bastion style, unlockable through in-game events and purchases. Bulk building has been made easier, and Mysterious Merchant boxes now offer higher-quality items to match the new home décor theme.

Other additions include a new Team Popularity Battle event to encourage player collaboration, improved handling for animal vehicles, a new two-stage vehicle explosion mechanic, and enhancements to the synergy system.

The update also begins Cycle 8 Season 24, introducing new legendary items, tier rewards, and the return of the Hardcore Ultimate Royale. A new Themed Mode Rating Protection Event runs until May 25.
