The CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, stated that players who currently spend time on Roblox are expected to transition toward adult-oriented franchises such as Grand Theft Auto VI as they grow older. The statement was made during the company’s annual financial results conference.

The comment came after investors questioned whether the rise of free-to-play games could reduce younger generations’ interest in premium titles. At the moment, Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite attract a significant share of Generation Alpha players.

“It’s hard to imagine that anyone over the age of 17 who is interested in games would not want to play our mature titles,” said Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two.

According to the executive, players change their gaming habits as they move into different age groups. The company continues to manage franchises aimed at multiple audiences, while GTA remains focused on the adult gaming market.

Recent research suggests the franchise already has a strong presence among younger audiences. A survey conducted by the National Research Group and cited by the Los Angeles Times ranked Grand Theft Auto among the five most popular games for Generation Alpha, alongside Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, and Pokémon.

Industry analysts also note that Grand Theft Auto Online maintains several features commonly associated with social platforms, including ongoing player interaction. In addition, players seeking greater stability in online matches can use the NoPing Game Booster, a platform focused on reducing high ping and optimizing connections for competitive gaming.

New users can access the platform’s free trial to test performance improvements during gameplay. Take-Two also reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is still scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.
