The latest update 4.4 of Tower of Fantasy, titled Reality in Restraint, brings an array of exciting additions, including a new zone, fresh characters, a main story expansion, and the much-anticipated return of the limited-time Evangelion collaboration.
In the new main quest, "Reshape the Future: Aida Blue," players venture deeper into the Network, exploring the newly introduced Indoor Zone. Here, the plot unveils a trap laid by Asurada, the game’s latest simulacrum. This character challenges players with unique skills and brings high-stakes dilemmas that must be solved to prevent reality from being irreversibly transformed.
Asurada arrives equipped with his exclusive weapon, Hellfire, offering dynamic combat mechanics and impressive visuals. His involvement in the storyline further complicates the mystery of the initial trap, adding layers of intrigue and intensity to the game's plot.
Among the new features, the update introduces Simulacrum Roaming, which allows players to send their simulacra out to explore autonomously. This rewarding system enhances both the map and the simulacra, encouraging frequent use to unlock additional benefits.
Other highlights include the new world boss, Defender: Gunner, and the permanent challenge instance, Final Trial. Additional challenges await, such as level 97 boss Darkness: Merbelle added to the Evolution Vanguard, as well as new levels in the Sequential Phantasm Boundless Realm. Sequential Phantasm, Frontier Clash, and Void Abyss seasons have also been reset, bringing fresh content for dedicated players.
For Evangelion fans, previously released items from the collaboration, like the Asuka and Rei simulacra, Pen Pen, and iconic outfits, are available again for a final release.
The update also streamlines the gameplay experience with a skip-story feature, accessible after completing the Companion mission, and introduces new interactive games in the Network, including Detective X's Investigation, Battle Simulator, Laser Predicament, and Survival Battle, adding even more variety to the game.
