The update Dawn of the Hunt, the first major expansion of Path of Exile 2, produced significant results in its first three weeks. Collected data reveals behavioral patterns in combat, economy, and class choices among players.
The boss Arbiter of Ash was defeated 355,877 times, indicating a high level of interaction with endgame content. During the same period, 3,406,779 Unique Maps were completed, confirming the continued relevance of map-based progression.
In-game economy and combat outcomes
A total of 3.27 trillion gold was acquired, averaging 6.48 billion gold per hour. This points to a highly active in-game economy, likely driven by item drops, player trading, and crafting systems. The 1.44 billion closed instances reflect a high volume of gameplay sessions, which may indicate repetitive content runs, optimization attempts, or fast-paced challenges.
In combat outcomes, there were 185,961,090 player deaths in Standard Leagues and 291,112 deaths in Hardcore Leagues. The wide gap between modes suggests either lower participation in the permadeath mode or more cautious play among those who choose it.
Class preferences
Among the ten available classes, five account for more than 60% of total selections. The Amazon leads with 23.78%, followed by Lich (12.27%), Deadeye (10.12%), Smith of Kitava (8.15%), and Invoker (7.87%).
At the lower end are the Acolyte of Chayula (0.74%), Chronomancer (1.32%), Tactician (1.77%), Warbringer (1.77%), and Pathfinder (1.82%). The dominance of the top five may indicate a preference for more straightforward or efficient playstyles, while the lesser-used classes may involve more complex mechanics, perceived lower performance, or reduced visibility in popular guides.
